molumba is an all around architecture office based in Tallinn, Estonia. Founded in 2017 by architects Karli Luik and Johan Tali .

With a focus on keeping a well integrated core team of around 10 highly trained professional architects and interior designers, molumba has the ambition to take on large scale projects both from the public sector (ongoing 20000 sqm Ferry terminal project in Port of Tallinn, headquarters for Elering) and for private developers (Põhjala Factory quartier development from historic industrial site to mixed use campus, Manufactuuri quartier for Hepsor). The core team can accommodate projects and we can accommodate more subcontractors for large workloads.

molumba focuses foremost on public buildings for large scale organizations, schools etc. We mostly engage projects from public tendering via architecture competitions and operate as head contractor. Our professional attitude towards the outcome has gained attention from corporate clients (ELERING, PORT OF TALLINN, AMPLER) with commissions for brand oriented design of office environments. This has lead us to rethink the architecture we do as a holistic whole - coming to an understanding that architecture also includes interior and urban design and landscaping.

Karli Luik (chartered architect level 8) started his architecture career as a founding partner at salto architects and over the last two decades designed and realized over a dozen public and large scale projects, becoming one of Estonias most successful young architects, having won numerous awards for his built works (with his former office salto architects and with molumba).

Johan Tali (chartered architect level 7) comes from an international background in architecture, arts and curation. Having lived in Berlin, Vienna and in Venice, he has worked in award winning architecture practices as a design architect and gained experience worldwide.  In 2016 he Co-curated The Baltic Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale among with 8 other architects from the Baltic countries. In 2021, He was named Young Architect of The Year for his multifaceted approach that combines teaching, academic research in urban planning , theory and practice.
